For me, this was unquestionably a strange year for reading, for reasons beyond the pandemic, but I loved these five books (listed in the order that they were read) and greatly enjoyed many others ... and because this year was sort of a missed opportunity, I'm especially looking forward to all the reading I'll do next year. :)
Thank you for visiting this year, and for sharing books with me here and in other places ... and I hope you have a safe and especially happy new year.

The first two books on your list sounds like ones I would like. I will soon post my favorite books I read in 2020 and guess which one is in my top spot? The Splendid and the Vile. What a great book, I can see why we both admire it. It got me reading biographies of the Churchills.
I'm so happy to see Talking of Jane Austen here and you've reminded me that I loved but did not get to finish (the downside of library loans) Those Wild Wyndhams so must return to it one day. Best wishes for a calmer, less strange 2021 :)
Washington Square is definitely Henry at his most readable! I loved that one, too. It's almost time to reread The Age of Innocence, but first The Custom of the Country. Never got to The Splendid and the Vile, but hope to in 2021. Happy New Year, Audrey... I look forward to following your reading adventures and maybe even sharing a few!
